Administration Building-Cashier

Payments for all council related fees and charges can be made here.  EFT is now available over the counter and Rates and Water Bills can be paid through BPAY. Click here for more information. Companion Animal certificates and registration is also accepted here.


Administration Building-Engineering

Applications for Development Applications, Construction Certificates, Grazing permits etc can be applied for here. Water quality, sewerage queries or call for an update on road conditions or to book a council reserve/facility. Tree removal, cemetery queries and applications for temporary on license functions can be made here.

Queries regarding rates, lot and deposit plan numbers, water billing and land amalgamations are received here. Also payment arranges for rates arrears/owing.

Administration Building- Tourism & Events

Queries regarding tourism, visitor attractions, events assistance, marketing, visitor information centres and the web site can be directed to the Tourism Development Manager tourism@coonambleshire.nsw.gov.au

 Library (located adjacent to the Administration Building)

Photocopying, facsimile and computer facilities are available for use/hire. A homebound programme is available for those unable to come to the library. Videos, DVDs, CDs, talking books and large print are available for loan. (02) 6822 3442

 NSW Roads & Traffic Authority (RTA)– Located at the Coonamble Rural Transaction Centre, 26 Castlereagh Street

Open 5 days a week, the agency is available for knowledge and driver tests as well as most RTA related queries.

 Vacation Care

Vacation Care operates Monday to Friday 8AM to 6PM during school holidays. The service is run by a committee of parents and interested community persons for up to 35 children per day. Call (0407) 103 787 during the holidays and (02) 6827 1900 during school term for further details on activities and fees.

 Rangers

The Rangers are available for microchipping and the surrender of dogs or cats. Please call them to organise a time suitable for both.

 Rural Fire Service

The Fire Control Officer is no longer located in the Council Office. You can contact the Rural Fire Service. Call for burning permits, overgrown blocks/fire hazard, fire conditions report.

 Radio Station – 91.9 MTMFM

91.9 Mountains to the Marshes FM operates out of a council building in Tooloon Street. Call for advertisements, lost animals, song requests on (02) 6822 2919 or email mtmfm@bigpond.com
